When will I get my race number and pack?

Race packs, including your race number, timing chip, race guide, baggage tag and t-shirt (10K runners only) will be sent to you at least 2 weeks before the race.

 

Is there anywhere to leave my kit/baggage on the day?

There will be a small kit tent within the race village. Please try to leave as much kit in your car. If you wish to leave your kit in the kit tent, remember to write your number on the baggage tag which is sent out with your race pack.

 

Are there any first aid points on the course?

St John Ambulance services are located around the course and at the start and finish areas. We also have two South East Coast Ambulances strategically placed on the course to ensure your safety.

 

Are there many toilets?

There will be plenty of toilets at the start (Orange car park), at the finish area and at the drink stations.

 

Is there an official race photographer?

Yes, photos are taken by Marathon Photos and will be available at: www.marathon-photos.com 48 hours after the event. You will also be able to download personalised videos of the race.

 

How many drink stations are there?

There are two drinks stations. One located at approximately 5.5K on Cotton Lane and one at 9K.

 

When will results be available?

Full results will be available online within 24 hours of the finish.

 

What are the timings on the day?

The main race will start at 8:30am. Please ensure you arrive at least an hour before the start. Prize giving for the 10K will be at approx. 9:45am. The Messenger 2K will start at 8:40am.

 

If I am unable to take part in the race, can I cancel my entry and get a refund?

There will be no refunds or deferrals issued unless you are injured (a doctor’s note will need to be sent to verify your injury).

 

Is there a pre-race warm up?

There will be a collective warm-up by Virgin Gym at 8:10am, where you will be led through a series of mobility and stretch exercises.

 

Will there be a sweeper bus?

The sweeper bus follows at the back of the race. Between km 1 and 3. It travels at 10 minute km pace. Anyone overtaken reverts to a pedestrian. We cannot guarantee marshals and road closures to still be in place, so please proceed with caution.

 

Will we be taking entries on the day?

No, there will be no on the day entries.

 

Will there be changing / shower facilities available?

No, there are no changing or showering facilities but there is a baggage tent for your kit.
